At Small Pet Select, we want your package to arrive safely and quickly. To help make that happen, here are a few important things to know about shipping addresses and delivery methods.
We Do Not Ship to P.O. Boxes
Unfortunately, our primary carriers—UPS and FedEx—do not deliver to P.O. Boxes. If you entered a P.O. Box at checkout, we’ll need an alternative physical street address before we can ship your order.
If your order contains both a street and P.O. Box address, we will default to the street address and remove P.O. Box references from your profile to avoid future issues.
Why Can’t We Ship to a P.O. Box?
Private carriers like UPS, FedEx, Amazon, and DHL are not allowed to deliver to P.O. Boxes unless you've registered for USPS Street Addressing Service.
Street Addressing is a free service from USPS that allows private carriers to deliver to your P.O. Box using the format of the post office's physical address + your box number (like a suite number).

What Shipping Method Will Be Used?
The carrier is chosen based on the weight of your order:
Under 15 oz → USPS First Class
1–2 lbs. → USPS Priority Mail
2–4 lbs. → UPS SurePost (UPS adds 1 day)
5+ lbs. → UPS Ground (Fastest delivery option)
Note: UPS does not deliver on Sundays. USPS delivery may vary by region on weekends.
Tips to Avoid Address Errors
Always enter only one address in Line 1 (your physical street address).
Use Line 2 for apartment or suite numbers only
Double-check your browser’s auto-fill settings and payment apps (like Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay) — these often overwrite correct info
Already Submitted a P.O. Box?
If we catch it in time, we’ll reach out to request a physical address. If not, your shipment will be placed on hold until we receive an updated one.
